“Can this be used in a basement that has dehumidifiers? One place I read said should not be used in areas with moisture in the air and basements typically have more moisture in the air.”

• The moisture affects the unit gauging air quality, but I think they say this because moisture building up in filter causing mold

• The Shark air purifiers can be used in humid or moist environments, but the filter life will be impacted by this as it can develop mold on the surface and will give out an odor if used for a long time at high humidity.

• I use mine in conjunction with a dehumidifier with no problem. Its not in a basement though.
