A:AnswerFilters can be purchased from where the machines are sold, or from Shark. Generally, the first couple years, only the manufacturers expensive filtration is available. As time goes on, aftermarket filters, that are much cheaper become available from filter supply companies. All manufacturers tell you to only use their filters, or your warranty is voided. You will find that the cheaper replacements, down the road are exactly the same as the OEM ones.
A:AnswerI think those numbers are arbitrary. Test it by turning a humidifier on and watch it freak out. It will drop to 10%-0% then go back up once it’s off
A:AnswerI'd say you could expect it to work for the entire level that it is on. Might be a stretch to say it will purify rooms upstairs if it is running downstairs. We move it at night - works great. I put this filter on the main floor and just let it do it's thing. We noticed a difference within a couple hours.
A:AnswerSpec wise it should handle it but it would really depend on how the air flow would work through out your house. I would think you would need to place it near the air intake of your furnace or a/c so it’s output can be drawn in and circulated that way. Logically I think it would make more sense to have a central air purification system built in to your main unit.since you are having the house built. That way you can get one made for the house.
A:AnswerI wanted to know that myself so I plugged the air purifier into a WeMo Insight and attached you will see the information. 1 watt typical in auto mode and averages 22 Watts throughout the month. Ignore some of the statistic because I had just reset the counter 2 days ago. Hope this helps.
A:AnswerOk so it has 4 speeds in low speed it is not noticable to the ear and the purifier will be in this mode most of the time unless the air is really contaminated while it being on auto mode. Sound can be notice when full speed it will be less than an window a/c on low speed.
A:AnswerThe 100% represents air quality in the form of contaminates. The fan speed is totally unrelated. The consumer may set the fan speed based on what is going on in the surrounding environment. ie: high for vacuuming (dust), cooking (odor); low for watching TV.
