Is this unit Ozone free? null

Yes, it is just multi layer mechanical filtration, no ozone.

I assume it is. The air just circulates thru the filters. When the fan is on low, you barely hear the fans. But when they kick in, you know it. The sound is just like a normal fan turned on medium or high pending the fan speed. I bought two of these, one for each end of the house (<1800 sq. ft) When my husband cooks popcorn in the mircrowave, he sets it by time and they kick in because he cooks it a little too long and the popcorn puts off an odor. It does not take it long for the smell to dissipate. I use the "popcorn" sensor setting and they do not kick in. They have also help with the dust in the house. There is a new addition of homes being built across the street and a lot of dirt work going on. I can tell they do work and they are work the money.
