Fantastic in my kitchen

I put my Shark Air Purifier in my open kitchen next to the island. My kitchen has the microwave vent fan and cooking fouls the air with the feeble exhaust system. The air quality gauge on the Shark normally reads 100%, but when the air smells it goes down to 60%, and when there is cooking smoke in the air, it goes down to 40% air quality.
After 5-10 minus of the Shark on max setting the air in the kitchen-living room-dining room returns to 100%. When the machine is put in the bedroom, the very fresh filtered air makes sleeping more comfortable. I highly recommend this air purifier. The only two issues with the Shark are expensive replacement filter that has to be changed in 6-12 months depending on your air quality, and the auto setting runs at lowest speed doing little unless the room gets so Smokey that you have to go outside as the machine then goes to max until the air is clean. It works much better if you turn it up manually when there are smells or cooking smoke.
The filtration is great. No more sneezing from allergens or mound spores in the air, and when the machine runs 24/7, there is no need to dust the furniture. Great machine.

I purchased 2 of the shark air purifiers and could not love the product more! Both are large capacity and keeps both floors of my home smelling clean. With 3 dogs (2) golden doodles even when bathed regularly and my house meticulously cleaned including upholstery it only lasted a few days. I was embarrassed! Not to mention food but odors lingering. Quickly removed and smelling clean. Most amazing is ho MUCH I T HAS REMOVED ALLERGENS, with an asthmatic child.
The moment I plugged it in the air quality indicator was 69% poor and not too surprised. Within a few hours it was at 100%. I was so excited I re-cleaned the house and bathed the dogs.
The house has been odor free! QUIET, EFFICIENT AND WELL WORTH EVERY PENNY.

We have 3 dogs that sleep in our bed. With our terrible allergies it was a love hate relationship. Until we got our shark air purifier. I was skeptical of if these these things actually work, especially for the price tag. After using it for 2 months I can say it’s one of the best purchases we have ever made! When we play with the dogs you can see their pet dander float off into the air. This device actually indicates how hard it’s working for you. When there is a lot of pet dander in the air the air quality display will be reduced to show you how bad the air is. Also when cooking it cleans the air perfectly within an hour. I hated the lingering smell of fried onions peppers ect, but now it’s cleaned up fast! Highly recommend

Clearner smell in the air! Quite unless on max settings. I love keeping it on a level 2 out of 4 at night. You can turn the LED lights off! I also have the Coway Airmega and its a compatible but not as good. Coway has pre filters that you can clean off. Shark doesn’t. Meaning the filter will need replaced sooner i would think. Coways filters last a whole year no problem. Used every day. Shark filters are cheaper though so may be a wash. Not sure how long shark filter lasts yet… Id say if the shark is on sale get it. If not wait..

Was worried how well unit worked initially since it stayed at 100% for a good deal of the tine. My kids burnt some popcorn and i got to see it in action. I have it set on auto and the fan speed definitely increased when the air quality percentage dropped.

Very quiet on the Auto/Fan Speed I Setting. I was concerned about it always being on the 100% Clean Air display, but once we cooked (with the stove fan not turned on), it went to full fan @<70%. The unit was placed more than 100 feet way -in a different room-- and it still sensed the difference. It definitely does its job. However, the $100 filter replacement cost brought the Value Rating down a notch.

I got both the 4 and 6 fan models. One would be amazed how nasty the air one breaths.
I adjusted the settings to automatic, and it reacts to us cleaning the house, washing clothes, cooking, or leaving the door open. These units have the ultimate HEPA filter that also gets rid of oders. The filters are expensive, but leaving the unit on Automatic, saves electricity, and the units speeds up if the air quality is sub par. Both of us have sinus issues and these units keeps virus, bacteria, dust and whatever at bay. I'm saving my Washingtons, Lincolns, and Jacksons, for new filters in 6 months or when the unit tells me after X amount of hours run time, their due for a change.

Bacon!

Bacon! Have I got your attention yet?? Bought this unit because I live in rural Arizona and wanted to try and cut down on some of the air impurities in my home. Seems to be doing its job on the daily.
However what surprised me the most was we typically cook a bunch of bacon for Sunday morning breakfast, and if there's any leftovers we will nibble on them throughout the week. As much as I love bacon I hate the lingering smell in the house it leaves for 1-2 days afterwards. This unit removes the lingering bacon smell within hours!
The unit is fairly quiet on low speed (normal running 24/7) and only noticeable at higher speeds.

I like the remote as well as the other various settings such as the “auto” function wherein in will adjust by itself depending on how clean your air is. The brightness of the LCD can also be adjusted. You can purchase 3 different air filters ($80, $90 or $100). I have both this and the black one (602 Model). This one came with a Pet (middle filter) Filter while the 602 came with the Pro (highest filter) Filter. I don’t know which one it should come with, but it should be the same in all models, hence the 4 stars.
I don’t think it’s worth the $450 price tag, but with the sale, (over $200 off), it’s worth the money.

This product was recommended by my sister. She has asma and it helped her breath easier. I have allergies and it has helped me too. I put it on Auto so the fans automatically increase speed when air quality goes down. The backside of the machine has the HEPA filter around 24x14 inches. My other sister purchased one too and she also has asma. Her breathing is so much better when the Shark is turned on. Would highly recommend this product.

Love this thing! It’s very quiet and I love the blue lights. It helps me know what products I use daily that can irritate my asthma by turning on. I then look to see how much that product affects the air quality, helps me look for healthier options as far as cleaning products and personal hygiene items

Works great and is very quiet. The displays are really nice too. I can definitely tell the difference with less dust and particles in the air (if I’m sweeping or moving things around the air quality display changes and if you have it set to auto it will automatically speed the fans up to remove the dust in the air) great purchase and fits my space well.
