The Shark Air Purifier 6 with Anti-Allergen Multi-Filter uses Clean Sense IQ technology to constantly track air quality and auto-adjust power. It delivers clean air with 6 powerful, quiet fans and anti-allergen HEPA filtration with advanced odor & fumes protection.
Q: It’s easy to get the filters
A: Filters can be purchased from where the machines are sold, or from Shark. Generally, the first couple years, only the manufacturers expensive filtration is available. As time goes on, aftermarket filters, that are much cheaper become available from filter supply companies. All manufacturers tell you to only use their filters, or your warranty is voided. You will find that the cheaper replacements, down the road are exactly the same as the OEM ones.
A: I think those numbers are arbitrary. Test it by turning a humidifier on and watch it freak out. It will drop to 10%-0% then go back up once it’s off
A: I'd say you could expect it to work for the entire level that it is on. Might be a stretch to say it will purify rooms upstairs if it is running downstairs. We move it at night - works great. I put this filter on the main floor and just let it do it's thing. We noticed a difference within a couple hours.
Q: How long need to change the filter?
A: We recommend changing the filter every 6-12 months. When the filter needs to be changed, the FILTER LIFE button will flash.
A: Idk if this helps, but under the specifications for this unit it lists the CADR (clean air delivery rate) to be 175
A: Spec wise it should handle it but it would really depend on how the air flow would work through out your house. I would think you would need to place it near the air intake of your furnace or a/c so it’s output can be drawn in and circulated that way. Logically I think it would make more sense to have a central air purification system built in to your main unit.since you are having the house built. That way you can get one made for the house.
Q: Whats the cost of a replacement filter
A: Anywhere from 60-80 bucks
A: The moisture affects the unit gauging air quality, but I think they say this because moisture building up in filter causing mold
