I don’t understand pile depth as a question, however it cleans cat kibble easily and large breed dog food is mostly successful. My dogs kibble is about the size of my pointing fingernail “he is a Great Dane” and I’d say 6/10 times the large kibble goes into the bin 4/10 it goes into the spin tray and kind of just stays there and eventually gives you a error or an alert to check. I’ve swept hair about an inch high infront of it and it sucked it up zero problems. I hope I helped!
