How do you turn On null

On the handle is a roller switch. Then you can put your foot on the floor part of the vacuum and gently pop it out of the vertical position.

Easy to use thumb switch on top of handle. Switch 1 click forward for hardwood and two clicks for carpet. Nicely labeled and user friendly.

There is an on and off switch at the top of the handle on the canister. It has 2 different "on" modes, one for carpet.
