“Does this model use the same magnetron setup as the sharp drawers in the class action complaint? Or did they change it to be safer?”

• This the answer I got from SHARP. They didn’t address whether the magnetron issue has been addressed in this model. Not very convincing IMO. Thank you for contacting SHARP Customer Assistance Center. Based on your inquiry I must advise that I’m aware that Sharp has been named in lawsuits regarding its Microwave Drawers, but I cannot assist you with anything pertaining to legal matters. Sharp produces quality microwaves that are tested before they leave our facility to ensure they perform up to standards. In the event there is an issue with our product we work along with our customers to arrive at a resolution. There are a number of our drawer unit that have been released that work within specifications and are perfectly fine. Also the unit has a fail-safe condition that does not present a safety hazard.
