this issue has the boomarang effect, I was advised to go to BBY to get remote replaced, at which BBY stated their parts department does not have access to get a OEM report, again referred back to sharp of which after waiting 5 plus days I emailed for a update of which they suggested I contact encompass for a remote. disappointed at results, this TV is mounted on wall over fireplace and not easy to remove.. wish this issue could be resolved but it seems I would have to order another TV to get it resolved. I would have thought just a simple replacement of the remote would be the best solution. Totally disappointed SHARPUSA
