I don't think it will work with the original SimpliSafe indoor cameras since these indoor cameras do not have any rechargeable batteries. I think these solar panels are for charging the rechargeable batteries installed inside the new SimpliSafe outdoor cameras.

I was actually asking if it would work with the first gen camera and not the first gen alarm system. The indoor one they made the rubber case for so it can be used outside. I would like to know if the solar unit actually provides power to the camera or if it just s recharges the battery in the latest camera. I assume both are using a Micro-USB port and it will actually connect to the first camera, just not sure it will power it. I have a few installed but would love to lose the wire if I could before I order the new camera.
