The solar panels work perfectly as described. The key is to have the batteries fully charged before relying on the solar panel to trickle charge them. The solar panel does not act like a wall charger, it only maintains an already full battery. Pro tip: You can use one solar panel for two outdoor cameras if you get a mini-USB splitter.

It does keep the battery charged as intended. But disappointed in quality of product construction. The plastic swing out mount attaches to another thin plastic disc that's held on by two screws. Solar panel is held on literally by two small plastic tabs (Clockwise to mount). And some wind and time will make it fail. Nothing clicks or secures the solar panel effectively. A little push counter clockwise will unmount the panel. In short, the item is poorly designed.

This solar panel was easy to install and has been working great. Keep in mind this is a trickle charger. Start off with the battery fully charged. Try to install on a south facing location, and plug it in! Screwing in the base was easy to do. I purchased some cable hooks that nail into the wall to help keep the cable secure outside. We had a week of overcast/grey weather (not common in NC), but it still kept the device fully charged. Even in winter with our days short (but still usual good sun during the day), the battery has stayed 100% for the last 3 weeks. Very satisfied and will purchase another for the other outdoor camera.

This was my second purchase of a solar charger for my outdoor cameras. I purchased one earlier and the set up and ease of installation was outstanding. Both cameras have stayed charged up the entire time. The cameras are installed on walls at over 10 feet up so getting to the batteries to charge them was a hassle. Not any more with the solar chargers. I recommend these to anyone with outdoor cameras.

Easy to install. Keeps the camera charged pretty well. Worth getting to not have to keep charging the camera batteries.

4th purchase of this solar panel for the 4th outdoor SimliSafe camera. Easy to install and reliable. All work great with the oldest 3 being one year old.

I like using solar instead of electric it's best. I recommend these.

The manual process of recharging the Simplisafe wireless cameras can become tedious. So bought this solar panel charging option and installed it. It does exactly what it advertises. It keeps the wireless camera charged. The mounting bracket allows for easy placement. The panel comes with a very long cable so you can put the panel in the best location for the sun while your camera stays in its place.

Didn't have in the store but was able to pickup in a couple of days. Quicker than Simplisafe.

Easy to install. Keeps camera charged with only a few hours of sunlight.

Setup was easy, once connected it keeps the camera charged all the time. Price is worth the product.

This product works I don’t like that SimpliSafe does not have a camera designed with the built in solar panel. Just sticking this on the house to facilitate the charging of the camera is a little tacky for me but it does the job of keeping the camera charged.

So much easier than changing batteries! Working with no any issues!

Would say this is the best purchase I have made for my system. Works great and keeps the battery topped off constantly. Suggest making sure your battery is fully charged when this is installed.

These solar panels work with my SimpliSafe cameras. I purchased one and was surprised that I didn't have to charge that camera because the panel kept the battery charged. I bought these panels to connect to the rest of the outdoor cameras I have.

Very easy to install and keep the batteries for the Simplisafe Wireless Outdoor Cameras charged! You will not be disappointed you purchased these instead of having to manually charge the batteries by removing them from the camera and charging them inside the house.

Works wonderfully! I don't have to remove my outdoor camera anymore to charge it. This solar panel keeps my camera 100% charged even when it's overcast outside.

I purchased this for my driveway camera since the activy was draining the battery a bit fast ive had this hooked up for a bout 2 weeks and it works great definitely worth it great quality
