• only if you have sufficient outdoor lighting... otherwise it defaults to night vision...

• Night vision records in Black and White. If you turn it off you will be able to see in color, but it will be dark. Depending on the ambient light available.

• Yes if you have the night vision turned off and there is enough light from a flood light or porch light.

• It only records in color if you have bright lights on your porch. And even then once the subject gets close enough the red infrared light comes on and the recording goes B&W.
