“How does this work if your wi-fi or electricity goes out? I think the older model used cell service too (3G if I remember correctly) but I think that's no longer supported.”

When I called SimpliSafe directly the customer service person seemed unsure and not confident in her answer but told me that if you pay the monthly service monitoring it has cellular backup but again she didn’t seem to sure about it
