Plugs right into back of radio easily

This is a direct plug-in application, so yes, you have to access the back of the radio, plug this device in between your vehicle's antenna and the radio, and then this device will override the car's antenna. Check out the user guide, by clicking "see demo" under the picture, click the "docs" column, then "user guide".

Most vehicles have an antenna wire junction under glove box area,but keep in mind some newer vehicles have smaller plugs and you may need adapters.

You can plug it into a junction....its made to plug into either thr back of the radio or any splitter along the way...

This plugs into the port in the SiriusXM Vehicle kit labeled "FM". It is on the left side of the cradle and "plugs in" to the radio itself through the cradle. Refer to the Vehicle Kit's installation instructions.

No. It works on an unused FM channel. There are no direct connections to the radio.

no it just broadcasts a (weak) FM signal just like a radio station from your lighter.
