you just need to buy the car kit and then just subcript to Siriusxm and you'll be ready to go. Kit comes with an antenna and the mounting tray.

Receivers can be switched between home and auto use, but you would need two different docks to use the receiver in a car as well as at home. A "vehicle dock" can be purchased as part of an accessory kit. The unit I purchased was for home use only and, without my purchasing an accessory kit, would not be usable in a car.
