• Yes you can use external speakers. I have mine connected to my TV sound bar. As far as the input / output jacks. They are 1/8th inch. (3.5mm) Hope this helps.

• The unit has RCA left/right color-coded cables that plug into the receiver's inputs, just as a CD player or other device would. Needs a receiver/amplier to interface with speakers.
