“Will this work with an XM Ready radio? Confused in that saw a couple of question/answers that would lead me to believe the answer is yes, but reviewed the product user guide on a separate site and indicated that it will not.”

No. Tuners marked "SiriusXM Ready" will not work with "XM Ready" or "Sirius Ready" aftermarket radios, per the included documentation with the tuner, as well as the documentation included with many of the radios themselves.
