“I just had a new Kenwood radio ( KDC-BT565U ) which is SiriusXM ready ,installed in my 2002 BMW 325XI and was told the Vehicle Tuner does not fit by the radio. Is there anyway this can be done? I don't want an external radio mounted on the dash???”

The cable is long enough that you don't have to place the tuner directly next to the radio. It can be stashed anywhere behind the dash or under it using zip ties or double sided tape.
