I recently purchased and Alpine receiver that was suposed to be compatible with sirius xm radio since i purchased it i have had no luck getting sirin Will this plug in unit be easy for me to install into my alpine receiver and finally after much fighting be able to get sirius xm with ease

Sirius or XM-ready, this means that it is capable/ready of giving you a fully integrated satellite radio, You'll likely just have to add a compatible sirius tuner (SV300) to your A/V receiver or Head Unit system. 

If it states Sirius radio tuner built in then its ready to go just hook up Sirius antenna and call in your radio Serial #.
