• I’ve never hooked mine up to separate speakers but I do see optional lines in back. Look up this radio on XM/ Sirius & search user guide. Page 7 of the guide will address your question. It’s a wonderful radio. Hope this helps.

• I don't see why not for to try it & see if you can get a speaker that has bass & treble to pick up sounds not normally heard.
