I haven't had any issues with noise. Make sure if you get the Gimbal you read the instructions. Do not turn on the gimbal unless you have a camera on it. That can damage the motor and allow for noise. I have not had any issues at all with noise.

I had to return my SkyLab because of motor noise transmitting to my iPhone 6s. I found no real solution for the problem. I ended up buying a OSMO Mobile, which does not have this issue. As for a GoPro affixed to a SkyLab I don't know if noise transmission is an issue, or the resolve if it is. I know a secondary supplier does offer retro fit for a GoPro to affix to the OSMO Moble from Amazon, and again no motor noise issues. Hope this may help.

It all depends on where you mount it. Front (helmet, chest, etc.) mounting helps.
