So it is pretty much agreed lights are low lumen. BUT if they can be dimmed via Google Mini why not start with at least the lumens of a 100w bulb? Say 1200 plus? I can dim it down if I want or need to. To me it seems like it greatly limits where the bulb will be used. I doubt there are actual construction issues within the wifi bulb that would prevent this? Finally gave up and returned the kit. Bought a stand alone mini. Now my problem is the neither of the first 2 wifi outlet adapters I have tried will connect! One used Geeni the other used Smart Life apps. Apps seem fine but the actual wifi outlets must be poorly made? Maybe in a year or two the quality of the construction will catch up with the cleverness of the technology.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It’s perfect for book reading not stupid bright but definitely a good reading light
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The thing is, I never needed Google or Alexa or any other online anyting to turn on and off my lights I've been doing it for years all by myself. : ) Is it really that big of an issue to get up off the couch if need be. No wonder the obesity levels are going up.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The A19 has is the equivalent of a 60W Light Bulb. Personally, I use it to read and also craft by, so I think it’s a matter of preference. “C-Life bulbs are capable of producing up to 800 lumens, with a color temperature fixed at 2,700K. That's definitely in the higher, brighter end of the spectrum;” per PC Magazine, C by GE Starter Pack, 03/16/2016, (https://www.pcmag.com/review/342852/c-by-ge-starter-pack)
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.yes dimmer than a led daylight bulb for sure, but if needing just to walk around and see items, does fine
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.at 100% brightness it's quite easy to use for reading, mine is in a lamp about 3 feet away from sofa and it's plenty of light at 100% and a nice glow at 10%, really like the bulbs
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You can dim the lights yourself just ask Google . Works great.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have two End Table Lamps and a Floor Lamp in the Living Room. With proper placement they are perfectly bright enough for reading or anything else necessary. Yes three (not a prob with Utility Bill, since only 9.5 watts per bulb), but usually only the Two End Table Lights are on at once. Have two, One on each Night Stands on either side of the bed in the Bedroom. Just ordered 4 more GE C-Sleep Bulbs for the Bathroom Vanity Mirror. Don't want blasting bright light first thing in the morning...LOL. No complaints at all from me being a first time Google Home Hub and Google Mini with GE C-Life & C-Sleep Bulbs.
I would recommend:
