• It does not have to be a dimming light. Google controls the brightness.

• Any fixture is fine. I use the google home app and control the brightness. Or you can voice command google to set it to a certain percent.

• Control is by Google voice, these bulbs go from very dim to 60 watts brightness. the control is by percentage from 0 to 100%, and I really like the feature of being able to turn on lights when I'm away from home. The color is quite warm and pleasant.
