Remember this is only for the Ring Spotlight Camera that is BATTERY powered. If you have that then it should work.

Please try again later.I may not fully understand your comment about installing it behind you existing camera but you can connect the solar panel to the back of the camera and place the mount for the solar panel within the distance the cord allows, which is extremely lengthy. I have my panel placed on the walkway side of my house that faces west and my camera facing south towards my driveway.
