Must have for ring floodlight camera.
||Posted .Owned for 1 year when reviewed.Absolutely must have if you have outdoor ring cameras. Initially I was just using the 1 battery my ring door had came with. I could have purchased an additional battery for the ring camera, but sooner or later I'd still have to charge those batteries. Which would have been a greater problem cause of having to get out a ladder to reach it. Instead I just went ahead and purchased this solar panel for the ring camera. I installed the solar panel right next to the ring camera both at the same time. Since then i have never had to bother it. The battery stays charged. Could have asked for a better option.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED 1/6/2021
||Posted .Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. It’s compact and very easy to use and install and only takes a few minutes, if you live in a state like Illinois where you have cloud cover often you debate on buying this right, but clouds do move on and sunshine is back and your battery is charging And saves you from changing the battery frequently depending on your settings, since my outdoor camera is set on Maximum for everything this solar panel comes in very handy, trust me folks I’m no different than anyone else who is skeptical and worried about costs, but it’s sooooo worth it in the long run, you’ll be glad you invested in this Solar Panel!! Note: this camera is on my front balcony and I’m pointing to where I tucked the wire into the panel and then showing you where I mounted the Solar Panel facing the direction of the sun.

Keeps Battery or Batteries at 100%
||Posted .Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed.I have 3 of these installed. It keeps the battery at 100%. I don't have to worry about when to recharge the batteries, getting the ladder and putting it back again. This is a time saver. If you have your router plugged into a back-up power...then rest assured even in power outages you are still protected

Camo-riffic Ring Solar Panel!
||Posted .Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This is now my third Ring Solar Panel I have purchased. So far, they've been terrific little performers and most recently, I have taken to custom-coloring them to better match their surroundings and draw less attention (see attached photo). From a distance, this unit totally blends in with the background!

Works great, screws are garbage
||Posted .The box I picked up said Spotlight Cam Only! but it works for the stick up cam too like this description says. Maybe this was released before the stick up cam existed and this is an older box. Works great, the only thing is the screws that came with it are garbage. I mounted on the eave of my house and the screw heads twisted right off. So I'd make a quick stop by a hardware store and get some #6 wood screws. I had some flat #6 1/2" length laying around and they did the job perfectly. Almost like it was designed for them and not the tiny black screws it came with. Maybe those are just meant to be used with the anchors, but the manual seemed to suggest they'd work for wood too.

Q: QuestionCan you use multiple cameras on 1 solar panel?
Asked by Easterbunny.
- A:Answer Order 2 - 1.35 mm x 3.5 mm DC plug power extension cords. Splice together to create a Y cable. Plug into solar panel cord and two cameras, they charge fine. I have 2 solar panels and 4 cameras set up like this.

Q: QuestionWe just had our spotlight cameras installed last week. They all have the solar panel with them. However, they are all sending low battery messages. How can batteries be critically low after a week and with a solar panel?
Asked by CamBattery.
- A:Answer Make sure the panel is in the sun constantly. Also check to see if the cable is out, mine came out a couple times because I can't get the screw from behind the spotlight cam off to latch it down.

Q: QuestionHow long is the connector cord? I would like to install the spotlight over a front door on covered porch. Would need 5 or 6 feet to position the solar panel to catch some sun. Thanks much.
Asked by Kate.
- A:Answer Appears to be around 5 or 6 feet solar panel to attachment end.

Q: QuestionCould I use the solar panel and internal battery at the same time? For the ring security cameras
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer The solar panel is intended to be used along with the internal battery (as the camera would be offline approximately 50% of the time if purely run solar with no internal power source). Make sure to purchase the specific solar panel for the battery camera and not the stickup camera as they feature different external power connections on the solar panel.
Answered by Nathair
Q: QuestionWhen using a solar panel after initial installation do you need to change anything in the Ring app setup procedures? Thanks.
Asked by Camguy.
- A:Answer No, you just mount the solar panel, run your wire to the camera and plug it in. Nothing else to do.
Answered by Wired
Q: QuestionThis might be a silly question, but does the Ring Solar Panel require an outlet? I can see a wire in the picture, just not sure if that connects to the security camera or goes to a plug.
Asked by KadisMeMe.
- A:Answer No it does not get plugged in. The cord is to connect it to the devise. I love ours. We have one of our stickup cameras connected to it
