A:AnswerOrder 2 - 1.35 mm x 3.5 mm DC plug power extension cords. Splice together to create a Y cable. Plug into solar panel cord and two cameras, they charge fine. I have 2 solar panels and 4 cameras set up like this.
A:AnswerHi turk,
This solar panel is designed exclusively for charging Ring Spotlight Cam Battery and Stick Up Cam Battery.

A:AnswerSome of the Old Solar Panel might have factory defect which I experienced recently that is why I uninstalled it and send it back for replacement.
Now, the Solar Panel has been charging well.
I hope this helps..
A:AnswerThe solar panel is intended to be used along with the internal battery (as the camera would be offline approximately 50% of the time if purely run solar with no internal power source). Make sure to purchase the specific solar panel for the battery camera and not the stickup camera as they feature different external power connections on the solar panel.
A:AnswerReading a previous response to this question, it looks like it just depends. I purchased and installed my Ring Spotlight Cam with Solar Panel package back around end of 2020. I had also purchased a third party brand gutter mount bracket for my solar panel. Here’s my repsonse regarding the longevity of my Ring components:
Ring Spotlight Cam: Original cam lasted about 1 year 7 months then the cam's WiFi died. I bought a new cam (2nd cam) to replace it. So far after a little more than half a year the second cam is still working fine.
Ring battery: I reused the Ring battery from the defunct original spotlight cam in the replacement spotlight cam along with the new battery that came with the new spotlight cam (so I have two batteries in the spotlight cam). The original Ring battery is still good after over 3 years.
Ring Solar Panel: The original Ring solar panel stopped charging the batteries after a little more than 3 years and need to be replaced. I'm on my second Ring solar panel now.
So surprisingly, the original Ring battery has lasted the longest. My original Ring solar panel lasted about 3 years. The original Ring spotlight cam lasted about 2-1/2 years.
A:AnswerPretty long. My best guess is about 12-15ft. I didn't really measure it when I pulled it out of the box. I have a lot of the excess cord coiled up.
A:AnswerOur solar panel gets very little sun time. Maybe a few hours in the early morning. I was not to confident that it was going to work effictively. BUT it is working great. It took a few days to build its strength and after about 2 weeks it is staying in the 85%+ area. So grateful for Ring and its products! :)
A:AnswerHi Vanessa, The battery that comes with your Ring Spotlight is rechargeable. And when the battery starts to drain you will have to remove it and recharge it. But with the solar panel it helps keep the battery charged a lot better. I have not had to remove my battery to recharge it once, my solar panel keeps mine 98%-100% charged. Hope this helps
A:AnswerHi Dave,
Thanks for reaching out.
Unfortunately, there is no adapter cable. The Solar Panels are not interchangeable. Additionally, Spotlight Cam does come with 20-foot power cable.

A:AnswerYour are still on battery use while connected to the solar panel. The solar panel is an excellent product that is used to consistently keep the battery charged while the ring stick up cam is in use. The solar panel does require sunlight to charge the battery. Wired on the other hand means your ring stick up cam is connected into an electrical charge like wires.
