A:AnswerI previously answered that you can not connect a non Sonos surround speaker to the Sonos arc. Technically that is incorrect. You can , but it will not allow you to setup your sound field with TruePlay. So , you are not getting the full ambient experience with non-Sonos speakers, but you can technically do it.
A:AnswerYou need a Lindy CEC less adapter. Works like a charm! Google it! I did..and after I spent hours trying to figure it out...THIS is what I found that actually works. I'm a happy Sonos customer now.
A:AnswerI was told by one of the Best Buy text that came to my house that it needs the 5 inches because the speaker wires from the top upward to get the correct sound
A:AnswerIt depends on the type of TV you have and the where the TV is located. We were unable to mount our sound bar to our TV because it was mounted too close to our fireplace mantel. It would have required remounting the TV (for an additional fee) to provide the additional space needed.
A friend of ours also has a Sonos sound bar and were unable to mount their sound bar to their TV because the TV did not have mounting holes underneath.
A:AnswerHDMI ARC port connection only. sonos is not bluetooth. the ARC together with the sonos sub is way more than you need in sound quality and power. the system work on LAN or wifi within your home network, having an iphone is a bonus.
A:AnswerThese shouldn't be used with a receiver. They are their own receivers and as far as I know, you need the TV on for it to pass audio to the speakers.
Perhaps audio streaming from a phone or PC, but can't (for example) listen to a football game on TV with the TV off, like you can with normal receivers.
A:AnswerNo. Wall mount is separate. The one I purchased is the Sonos branded specific to that model. Very well built and looks slick even though it’s hidden by the speaker itself.
A:AnswerI have a 65” Sony and it looks great under it. The space in about 50 x 25 with an open kitchen area. The ceilings are 18’. It’s sounds great in any area of the space. The sound optimization feature for the space through the app works really well to optimize the sound. I’m going to add the sub and also a couple of Sonos ones for surround but right now by itself it sounds great in a large room. I was shocked. I use to have 7.2 surround with custom ceiling mounted speakers and 2 framed in wall enclosed subs. This was as close to I had in my other house without all of the custom built out.
