A:AnswerYou will get Dolby Atmos sound with the Arc's 2 upward firing speakers but your Arc will pair effortlessly with your existing rears and Sub. You just need to make sure you download the new Sonos S2 app. The Sonos Arc won't work with the original app. The Sonos Play:1s and the older Sub will work with the new app and pair beautifully with the Sonos Arc. Understand that the Sonos Arc takes care of the Atmos sound, but I have the whole system (Arc, Rears and Sub) and I sounds great!
A:AnswerAn All-In-One package that rivals your multi-arrayed HT. After using it for some time, I'm very happy and pleased with this versus my old setup. Minimal equipment but gorgeous crystal sound with bass that really kicks. The technology that this baby has is incredible, if you do plan on picking this up make sure you setup the acoustics with TrueTune which I did on my iPhone. Calibrated the sound perfectly in my room. Dolby Atmos will bounce audio off walls to give an awesome experience in surround sound.
TLDR:
Gorgeous sound / Bass that packs a PUNCH! / Sleek minimal setup / Fast and easy setup
A:AnswerMine are just above the back of my couch and about a foot away on either side. The bottom of the speakers are about an inch below the top of the couch. Used Trueplay to blance all the speakers and the surround sound is perfect.
A:AnswerIts the same power cord as in the sonos beam. Suppose if you have one of those or could get one in interim, the cord would work. My arc arrived ahead of schedule. Hope yours does too!
A:AnswerHi, thank you for your question. Yes you can. The Arc utilizes HDMI ARC connection to your TV. This connection will allow you to use your TV/Cable controls to operate the volume on the soundbar.
A:AnswerI Believe you might be able to as long as you’re connected to the same Wi-Fi because Sonos doesn’t have Bluetooth I airplay everything from my phone to the arc I don’t see why you couldn’t do the same with your Mac Hope this helps
A:AnswerYes, the ARC must to run on the S2 app. If you have your products registered with Sonos, you can log into Sonos, look at the system page and confirm that your existing devices are compatible with the S2 app. Most of my system is from 2014 and is not compatible with S2. I have some Connect amps that were purchased in 2018 that are compatible with S2, so you really need to be sure before you get the Arc. I wound up logically distributing my equipment and then doing some upgrades. Now my speakers outside are on old equipment that runs on the S1 app and the inside equipment (including the ARC) are on the S2 app. Bottom line the is anything you group together has to running on the same app.
A:AnswerThe Arc needs an HDMI ARC port to play any Dolby Atmos content. If your television has a digital optical output you can use the included adapter to use the Arc but your signal will cap out Dolby Digital 5.1 surround sound as digital optical can not pass Atmos. The Arc will still use all 11 drivers to provide incredible surround sound using the phased speaker array, but you will not be able to get Atmos sound.
