Read how many speakers it has inside it. You won't be disappointed but I do recommend a sub at least. I have a pair of 100s and 300s and I could've only done the 300s and been more than happy.

Subjective, but no you will not be disappointed with clarity of highs or fullness of sound. Big distinction between this and a bookshelf unit.
