• Sonos Boost creates its own specific Wi-Fi network, all SONOS products will connect to the boost, instead of your normal wi-fi router eliminating lag when you have 5 or 6 devices utilizing your regular wi-fi. I have 6 play 1's, 1 play 5 and a sub, they are all connected to the boost.

• Yes, I have 3 SONOS Play:1 speakers and they work perfectly with the SONOS Boost. The Boost device is about 30 feet away from the closest speaker.
