Fixed Connectivity Issues in Apartment
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. To start, I have a system with 8 Sonos products scattered across a 700sq/ft apartment, with a lot of network interference from neighboring units and another building of apartments a stone throw away from my windows. I had been having connectivity issues recently (especially with my Sonos home theater setup), and the Boost immediately solved all of my issues. After attempting to reboot/reset and reconnect my system endlessly, I ordered the Boost. Wow! Such a BREEZE with the Boost! I should have purchased one a long time ago.. Strongly recommend for anybody living in an apartment with hundreds of units and find themselves having connectivity issues

From Neat Wall TV
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. We’re a small business Home A/V Installation Service that focuses on practical solutions that are future proofed to a certain degree. Sonos offers ease and practicality with a level of precision like no other. I tell my customers all the time it won’t literally happen but on the level of product comparison; Sonos has the tech and product level that redefines music and could put Bose in their place to out of business. Sonos is to retail shopping what Amazon has done to the world.

It helped big time!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed.I have 10 sonos speakers & two Sonos subwoofers throughout my home. In some areas it was dropping when I synced all my speakers together this eliminated all issues. I have a little over 4,000 sqft and didn’t think this would resolve my issue but it did!!!

Excellent addition to Sonos setup for stability
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed.I had some connectivity issues in the house due to separate Sonos speakers scattered throughout the house and music would frequently cut off. When I added the Sonos Boost, which creates a dedicated network for the Sonos system, music streams have been stable without drops and cutoffs. Highly recommended for folks with more than 5 Sonos speakers or if Sonos devices are far apart from each other. Very easy to set up. Simply plug the Boost to your router and use the Sonos app to automatically discover your setup. It took all of 5 mins for me!

Q: QuestionFrom time to time I lose control of our Sonos devices through the controller/app on my phone. I go to turn down the volume or change songs and I don't have any control to do so. The speakers are not reacting to any input. Will the Boost help this issue?
Asked by TJ.
- A:Answer I have two different Sonos systems. The system with the boost has never experienced a loss of control, the second system has. I cannot confirm the boost is the reason for not losing control. However, it seems to be. Hope this helps.

Q: QuestionCan this be the component that connects directly with Ethernet to our internet? We don't need a speaker in the small bedroom that houses our internet line. Can this then be the main component that connects directly with an Ethernet cable? And then have all the other speakers, in all the other rooms, connect wirelessly to this boost component? Or must we have a speaker connect directly with an Ethernet?
Asked by So is newbie.
- A:Answer The Boost is the only thing that needs to hook up to the Ethernet cable. The speakers hook up to the boost. It is Awesome... I have the boost, the playbar, play1 and play 3

Q: QuestionMy router has both 2.4g & 5g separate wifi in my home. My cell is always on the 5g. Sonos wants 2.4 g wifi connectivity. If I install the Sonos Boost - do I have to keep switching from the 5g to 2,4g in my phone settings just to listen to music? Help?
Asked by cedo.
- A:Answer You should program your Boost on the 5GHz access point. Your entire Sonos System will live within your boost Port, so wherever your sonos is setup (5GHz or 2.4Ghz) is where it will live.

Q: QuestionCan this be used to connect sonos speaker from inside the house to a patio?
Asked by Chris.
- A:Answer My understanding is that Boost serves as a modem which places the music source information onto its own frequency. What it can accomplish with regard to your other Sonos components depends on distance and obstacles. Sonos tech support is very helpful and i can usually speak to them without an endless wait.

Q: QuestionI have an older receiver with no wireless/ network capabilities. Can I wire this to my receiver outputs so that I can broadcast to sonos speakers wirelessly.
Asked by Dhgravityfreak.
- A:Answer No, you can't. There is no way to input sound to the Boost.

Q: QuestionMy Smart Sony TV is on the wall with no wires showing. Does this product have to have wires from the back of the TV to the speaker? I want truly wireless - none from the TV against the wall. Judy Tatone
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer Yes, you need an audio source. What I would recommend is getting a SONOS Connect that way you plug into that and then the rest of the speakers would receive the audio signal from the Connect. The Connect is very small and easy to hide, you might even be able to figure out a way to hide it behind the tv. The only way you could get Zero wired would be for Sony to have a Bluetooth connection option and SONOS would have to set it up to where the speakers could connect through Bluetooth, but I do not think that will happen.
