The Sonos speaker would work independently of your Pioneer reciever. However we sell a device called a Connect that would connect to your receiver to play music through it.

There is no way to connect these speakers to your system without getting the Sonos amp. Sonos speakers are wireless and connect through wifi primarily.

The Pioneer system would have to be hooked to the Sonos network. I believ you would have to purchase a Sonis Connect for the Pioneer receiver also...
