Yes, I keep two Play 5 speakers on a large covered patio. The humidity of the South Florida weather has not affected the speakers.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It would work outside with the system, but it's not waterproof, or water resistant. At that price, I'd wait until they release a water resistance version.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I would not consider it to be waterproof, so no. Also, it does need to be plugged in.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. As long as you have power outlet and you keep it away from any type of weather issues

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I added a shelf under the patio cover near my electrical outlet and I take it in when not in use. The humidity in Texas is brutal and these units, while durable, are expensive! I personally wouldn't take the chance. I have, on a good party night, left it out overnight under the patio cover with no adverse consequences.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I would not leave this unit outdoors. It is intended for indoor use. I DO bring mine outside to use on a regular basis but, I always bring it back in when I'm done with it. I don't think it would hold up to long time outdoor use, IMO.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.would not reccomend it, they are not designed for outdoor use so humidity and temperature change will afect the unit. Buy a pair of outdoor speakers and wire them into the house to a sonos connect amp. This works great!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.YES THEY CAN, I MOUNTED MINE-THEY WORK GREAT!
