I already own a play:5 and would like to know if/how I could use this sound bar alongside the play:5 for tv audio. I have tried a simple auxiliary cable from tv to play:5 and audio had a terrible lag. null

Yeah, the playbase comes with an optical for your tv...and an eathernet port

I have a sub and two play one’s. I just use the optical cable from my playbase to my tv and the sonos app. The app does all the setting up for you quite easily.

No, this will not work alongside the Play:5. Each is it's own individual unit. If this unit is plugged into the TV, sound will only come out of this speaker.
