“I already own a play:5 and would like to know if/how I could use this sound bar alongside the play:5 for tv audio. I have tried a simple auxiliary cable from tv to play:5 and audio had a terrible lag.”

Yeah, the playbase comes with an optical for your tv...and an eathernet port
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have a sub and two play one’s. I just use the optical cable from my playbase to my tv and the sonos app. The app does all the setting up for you quite easily.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.No, this will not work alongside the Play:5. Each is it's own individual unit. If this unit is plugged into the TV, sound will only come out of this speaker.
