“All I want to do is be able to use my old 80's stereo components (turntable, amplifier, etc) and be able to use Sonos speakers. I'm not super high-tech and just want a simple stereo system. Should I get the Connect or Port?”

Both the Sonos Port and Connect will allow you to connect your stereo components to other Sonos speakers. The Port has new features, such as Airplay 2, but both will accomplish what you are looking to do!
