“I will have an outdoor tv (playing through AppleTV) with 4 Klipsch rock speakers and 2 Klipsch outdoor wall mounted speakers. Would I need to get 3 Sonos amps (2 ch each) and a Sonos Port to power and sync everything together? Trying to design the system”

It would be cheaper to buy a a multi channel amplifier to power the speakers, assuming you can have all of the wiring meet at one point, then add the port to the amplifier if you want the Sonos platform.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.In this case you would need 2 Sonos Amps. You would use the Amp as the television sound through either ARC or using a digital optical adapter. That Amp would power 4 speakers. Then a second Amp could be added for the other two speakers. You could then group them together in the Sonos App and choose whether you want to listen to the television sound on all six speakers or use all six speakers for music! If you wanted to run one Sonos Amp for each pair of speakers, that would be an option as well but the Amp is definitely powerful enough to support 4. You would not need a Port in this installation.
