I have an arc soundbar, what would be best for me to add? This subwoofer or an additional speaker? I am looking for louder sound, clear etc. Also, do they pair well with an apple box? Or best to us with tv applications only.?

Definitely the subwoofer mini. It will not work with Apple or any other systems

I use with Apple TV, works well.

Subwoofer will add depth (bass) which is excellent for more immersive sound. It will not make dialog clearer.  You should consider soundbar placement .

Get a subwoofer. And they work great with everything.
