Quite simply, just don't use any of the built-in apps. They are there as a convenience, but no one is forcing you to use any of them.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I don’t expect privacy from any device. I use Amazon FireStick and not the TV’s apps. Seems like everything that runs though the TV’s apps needs to be paid for, logged into, and takes otherwise annoying extra effort to get to. You’ll need to get a sound bar, and I expect that it’s always listening. I see it turn itself on occasionally even when the TV is off and I’m not sure why it does that. The TV picture is decent enough although the darker scenes are not sharp. Color balance takes a lot of tinkering. The remote is kind of worthless except to turn the TV on and off. I have to use it, the Fire remote, and the sound bar remote to operate the TV.
