Most flat screen TVs have only fair audio output, at best. It is difficult to get good quality speakers into a flat screen cabinet. For excellent sound you need to buy a power-amplified soundbar with a subwoofer. It plugs into one of the HDMI jacks on the back panel of the set, and with the right settings from the on-screen TV menu, the soundbar's volume can be adjusted with the volume control switch on the set's remote control unit. Virtually all TV manufacturers and most major speaker manufacturers (i.e. Bose, Klipsch and Yamaha, among others) sell soundbars You don't need to necessarily need to buy a soundbar from the same maker as that of your TV. An LG soundbar will absolutely work on a Sony or Visio or Samsung TV, and vice versa. You can usually find a decent quality soundbar in the $150.00 to $200.00 range.

All of the major Hearing Aid manufacturers now offer this capability. Then, buy your batteries on the web and save about 50% on them!
