“I bought this TV a few weeks ago and just installed a "Software Update" which came up on the screen. Now I feel that the picture quality has deteriorated. Is there any way I can uninstall this update?”

Go back to the standard setting and adjust from there. At first I would sometimes hit the picture adjustment becasuse a former remote had the home button in that position.
