Hi Harv, Thank you for the inquiry! Content and signal quality are regulated by the signal provider. Many HD channels and content are actually upscaled versions of standard-definition broadcasts. The picture is affected by the quality of the signal received, which varies between channel and program. Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The 2.1 connection is not going to upscale a standard source even with the enhanced option chosen. Best I get from my cable is 1080p, I have played around with the picture settings, but the auto picture seems to produce the better image when the source isn’t 4K or better. I’m the end you can tweak the clarity, contrast, sharpness etc and it’s going to usually be within a couple points of what I figure is best option to my eye. In fact when i do the setup of my cable it claims it’s providing 2k @ 60 hz. Sadly there isn’t a one size fits all but I imagine you can search optimal settings for this set and a variety will appear. I just learned thr hdr adjustment the ps5 gives wasn’t giving me best range of whites and blacks, so I went 2-3 shades brighter and darker and ghost of Tsushima hasn’t looked as good as it does now.
