• It has to be plugged in. Carplay can only be activated when it is plugged in or via wifi (in head units that support that function). Carplay does NOT support a bluetooth connection between the phone and the head unit.

• Hi NIV, The iPhone needs to be connected to the USB port (via USB connection cable). The Bluetooth setting won't be available during Apple CarPlay connection. ~Ralph
