Hi, Have had mine for two weeks now and love it! I can't tell you exactly which antenna would be best, but what I can tell you is that I saw this TV hooked up to a $25 antenna (according to salesperson) at my local Best Buy and the picture was as good as cable!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I live 17 miles line of sight from the New York City 1776 foot tall rebuilt World Trade Center. The AVAILABLE EVERYWHERE Channel Master CM4221HD $50 quad bowtie antenna that I have installed vertically in my attic for at most $50 picks up 50 digital broadcast channels for my brand new Sony XBR65X930d with half of them in FULL 1080P HD. Try to minimize the length of coaxial cable from the antenna connection point to the TV set since about half of a signal is lost for a 100 foot wire run. Using the shortest run (60 feet) for me involved using closets to shorted the DIREDT LINE distance to the TV from the attic. The only installation issue will be point the antenna towards the signal. Because theis antenna is not very critical with broad acceptance angles, that should not be ab issue and will overall maximize the numbers of channels you eventually get< Ted
