“Using SANUS height finder which suggests 16" for the distance from the top edge of your TV to the top mounting holes and select the unit used. Please advise if this is correct. Based on the picture chose "Not Centered" as the mounting pattern.”

VESA has developed a set of standards for the manufacturing of flat screen televisions and monitors. Most manufacturers comply with this standard by adhering to an industry wide hole pattern on the back of the TV or monitor for mounting purposes. To determine if your TV is VESA compliant, measure the vertical and horizontal center line distance between hole pattern on the back of the TV. Sufficient expertise is required for TV installations. Be sure to subcontract the installation to a Sony dealer or licensed contractor and pay adequate attention to safety during the installation. The screws or hardware used to attach the mount on the wall will vary based on the type of building material that the wall is made of. We recommend contacting a professional installer for assistance in selecting the right screw for your wall.
