Have had the TV since Black Friday 2017. No issues. In fact, now that the color is fully calibrated, I find it clear and pleasant to watch. I bought mine new and sealed from Best Buy. Some other companies/on-line vendors sell refurbished and/or open sets; these at times, are banged up or used and can pixelate. All I know is, if I did have a problem, Best Buy would assist me in warranty claims. I bought mine from MAGNOLIA which is the high end sub-store within Best Buy and they have terrific service. Buy from a reputable company and you have peace of mind.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Mine is a year old as of yesterday and the picture is as good as day one. I even have mine on a higher brightness setting so if it was going to have issues, it should have by now. I do carefully review Amazon reviews and as long as 5 and 4 star reviews are 85% or better of total reviews, then I take the bad reviews with a grain of salt. Some people will complain no matter what, and/or not every TV can work 100% of the time. I sometimes question shipping methods with high end electronics like this through Amazon. I don't fault Amazon directly, but these are relatively delicate devices and after working 3 Christmas seasons at UPS several years ago, I have seen how boxes are abused. It's hard enough to tell what damage high end electronics go through during shipment to the brick and mortar retail store, let alone if they are purchased via Amazon or any online retailer and then shipped again via who knows what methods to an individual residence. I am sure most are fine, but the failure rate would have to be higher by that shipping method than picking it up at a store and taking it home yourself or having it delivered via professional installers.
