There is an article about it on the Sony website. It is intentionally tilted for "lower viewing". I assume that means that if you are sitting on a very tall chair and the TV is on the floor, you are in business. Otherwise, you have to build up the back of the stand with a wood spacer or something to compensate. It is not adjustable.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.My assumption is that this is to make it less likely to tip forward and cause injury (or damage the screen). As others have said, it really isn't noticeable when you are facing the screen.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.My screen is not tilted. I used the stand for a few days - until I had my wall mount installed. Neither one had a tilted screen. My wallmount is a very basic unit designed to be flat against the wall and it works great - without tilting the screen at all.
