The Xbox One S doesn't play native 4K games, that said it does a great job of up upscaling to 4K. The quality of the images on the X940D is excellent, much better than I expected given what it looked like on my Vizio M70. According to reviews the lag on the Sony in Game mode is about 20ms, a few milliseconds slower than the Vizio, but I can't notice any lag. Keep in mind that 20-25 ms is much shorter time than it takes for your eye to capture the light from the TV, send it to the brain, process the image, formulate a command, send it to the hands and fingers, and move your fingers. You probably wouldn't notice lag until it was around 100ms, which is how long an eye blink lasts. All in all playing Battlefield 1 or Forza on this Sony is a great experience.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, it is excellent. The only issues I have had are directly related to the XBox 1 and not the TV (issues were with Microsoft Bluray player, 360 emulation using two players, and a few other minor glitches associated with the XBox 1s) . The TV even Picked up on the fact that the resolution was set improperly (was using the Xbox 1 on a lower resolution set, prior to hooking it up to the he XBR75X940D). The upscaling Resolution is probably the best I have seen. The Sony does have a slightly higher latency than some of the other TVs on the market, but I have not noticed it during game play. If interested there are several gaming TV reviews on the internet.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.yes, running it through the sony 1070dn receiver to our 940D and it works fine. just a pain to use the xbox controller for the blue ray movies instead of a regular remote.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have both the Xbox 1S and the PS4 Pro. The Xbox 1 S only plays 4K movies. It does not change the quality of the Xbox games. It is no different than the old Xbox 1. The PS4 Pro is actually totally different and noticed true HD 4K gaming but does not play 4K movies. So, I just use the Xbox 1 S as a movie player :/
