Hi, Calvin. Best Buy forwarded your question to me as I recently purchased the same model Sony TV that you were asking about. I have had my 77" about 2 months and have experienced no issues with burn in but then 2 months is not a real long time. Sorry but that isn't going to be very helpful for you. I also have a 65" Sony 4K OLED that was purchased about 3 years ago. That TV is typically on for 8 to 10 hours every day and we have had no issues with burn in. About a month ago, we noticed a black line that runs the length of the screen so it appears that a row of pixels is not functioning. I am in the process of exchanging that 65" TV with Best Buy. I am not certain how frequently that particular issue arises.

Yes, we have equipped this TV with functions that automatically adjust the screen conditions to protect the TV screen from image retention. The good news is that we have taken steps to protect the TV screen from image retention like Pixel Shift and Panel Refresh found within the TV settings. Organic EL displays (OLED) may experience image retention if an image is continuously displayed for a long period of time or the same image is repeatedly displayed. This is due to the characteristics of the materials used to achieve high-definition imaging. To protect your TV screen, avoid using images that may cause image retention.
