Is there an improvement this year with the screen dimming issue while gaming ? Or does the A95L still dim like all the previous model Oleds ? null

This TV does not dim while gaming in HDR (although it may if you let a static screen sit idle for 20+ minutes). 
If gaming in SDR, set peak luminance to medium to avoid any dimming caused by static HUDs.

Carl, this doesn’t answer the question. I’m not talking about my the game bar and being able to adjust the brightness to see if someone is hiding in a dark corner for competitive gaming. I’m talking about the screen dimming on its own (ASBL) while gaming. Does this model, A95L, still have this issue ?

There's no dimming when playing HDR games. It appears dimming is only triggered when playing SDR games with the Peak Luminance and Brightness set to high values. (i.e. High and Max).

Hi Alex, Thank you for the Question! The new L series TV with XR processor received new gaming menu that allows you to adjust the brightness of the panel while in game mode.
