Both cameras are very capable in low light up to moderate ISO values, but many reviewers and user tests find that the Canon tends to deliver slightly cleaner images with less noise at high ISO compared with the Sony. That’s partly because the R6 Mark II has a lower resolution but larger individual pixels, which collect more light per pixel and generally handle noise better in darker scenes. Some comparisons report that Canon’s sensor holds an edge at higher ISO values, meaning you’ll often be able to push ISO higher with less visible noise on the R6 Mark II compared with the A7 IV.
